The Southern Pinball Festival is proud to bring their VISUAL PINBALL game to the Orlando Mini Maker Faire! This full size pinball cabinet is powered by a computer loaded with over 100 re-created pinball machines and played on a 46 inch LCD display for the playfield, another LCD for the backglass art, and a third for the score display. If you’ve ever played MAME on a computer, think of this as the same deal but with PINBALL! Of course, it’s not the same as REAL pinball, but it’s still pretty freakin’ neat.

The Orlando Mini Maker Faire is on Saturday May 26, 2012, from 10am to 7pm, so stop by and say HI!

PINBALL DONUT GIRL plugged the Southern Pinball Festival, so we thought we’d plug her (them? it?) back! From the website about this short film being made…

“Remember playing pinball in your neighborhood bar, cafe, or even laundromat? Pinball is art and technology united for fun, and Pinball Donut Girl is a fun comedy about Matt and Julie, who meet in a donut shop that still has a pinball machine.
Matt’s never known a girl like Julie; she’s a pinball genius in a vintage dress. He’s just a fraternity pledge trying to escape his rural roots. Can Matt win Julie’s love when he doesn’t have a decent skill shot? Will Julie’s dreams of winning a pinball tournament come true? Do apple fritters have way too many calories??”

The film stars Starring Jane Weidlin (The Gogo’s, Star Trek), Bailey Hopkins (All About Evil),
and Brian J Patterson (Batman: Battle for the Cowl).
